Online small-group coaching for year 11 students aiming for a top grade in GCSE

A thoughtfully structured programme, delivered in three termly blocks, to provide thorough, targeted instruction and coaching, on the most challenging aspects of the syllabus

Course Overview

This small-group, online, year-long course is designed for Year 11 aiming for grades 7, 8 or 9. It is focused on the Edexcel GCSE course and aims to provide students with a thorough understanding of the most challenging areas of the syllabus. 

The course combines expert-led tuition with a premium, data-driven learning experience powered by the world-class DrFrostMaths platform. By integrating these high-performance resources, I provide students with more than just lessons - I offer an AI driven interactive ecosystem featuring instant feedback, automated homework tracking, and a vast library of exam-style practice that adapts to students' individual needs. This powerful combination provides students the greatest chance of a top Maths GCSE grade, whilst providing a solid foundation for A Level Maths.

Course structure structure

  • Live online lessons via Zoom

  • One hour per week, during term time only

  • Approximately 33 lessons across the academic year

  • Maximum of 5 students per group

  • Lessons are live and interactive and are not recorded, supporting focus and engagement

Schedule:  Tuesdays, 4:00–5:00pm

(An identical group runs from 5:00–6:00pm)

Fees & payment

Sessions are priced at £40 and are paid termly in advance, with each term consisting of 11 lessons (£440 per term). Payment is made online by card, and a confirmation email and receipt are sent automatically after booking.

Students may enrol partway through a block (if places are available) and will be charged on a pro rata basis.

Additional support

Students enrolled on the full programme are eligible for discounted one-to-one sessions during school holidays (£70 per hour, subject to availability).

Refunds & Cancellations

Fees are payable per term and in advance to secure a student’s place in the course.

Once a term has started, individual sessions are non-refundable and non-transferable, including in cases of absence.

A full refund for an upcoming term may be considered if written notice is received at least 14 days before the term start date. Refunds requested after this point cannot be guaranteed, as places are limited and groups are capped.

If a course is unable to run for any reason, any unused sessions will be refunded in full.

All refund requests must be submitted in writing via email.

About the Tutor

Lessons are delivered by Rod, a highly experienced North-London based tutor and ex secondary Head of Maths. He has extensive experience in supporting students through examinations, developing mathematical understanding and building student confidence

Places & Enrolment

To maintain a high standard of teaching, places are strictly limited.

This course is intentionally small and personal.


The aim is not volume, but quality — ensuring every student feels supported, challenged, and confident in their progress.
